Advent 2025
It’s December 1st and the beginning of Advent. Advent is a happy tradition in my world and I hope it is for you too. There is nothing richer than being immersed in the story of the coming of Immanuel for twenty-five days in a row! Messianic references in the Old Testament and the Gospel accounts of the birth of Jesus are historical storytelling at it’s finest. Plus, it’s a potent invitation to keep the true meaning of Christmas front and center.
There are scads of wonderful Advent Devotionals out there to serve up a daily portion of the story. Mine is somewhere in that giant pile and I would be pleased as punch to share it with you. In the same way that Lent is THE epic run-up to Easter, Advent is a thoughtful way to remember the wonder of the love of God shown through the coming of our Savior. So… give yourself (or someone else) the gift of Advent this season.
Merry December Everyone,
Anne

Pulled my book off the shelf today. Grateful to have it – a gift from my sister several years ago.
